#1 This is a straight fairway over a small valley with split bunkers in front protecting the green, which slopes towards front and sides. There are trees just to the left front of the green that will catch wayward shots. The woods to the left should not come into play from this tee. Wind will affect any shot as wind from the left (east) tends to knock the ball down due to the woods while wind from the right (west) will move it left as expected. As the north-south fairway is open with no woods impeding, any wind into you will require an extra club and sometimes two and vice versa, if the wind is with you, it will take a club less but rarely more than one club. If you're not on the green, you want to be in front of the green. The green slopes back to front and there is a fall-off at the back of the green making a chip shot very difficult. There is an alternate white tee box for #1 that is approximately 25 yards longer. If the white tee is setup here, then you have a narrow shot into the green with trees coming into play both left and right. The bunker comes into play for any shot left of the green.
