An evening with their sweetheart and friends was enjoyed by 30+ Headland Country Club members as well as guests at our Valentine Pork Chop Supper and Bingo.  After a delicious supper of grilled pork chops, baked potatoes, salad, delicious desserts and cookies, came a few games of bingo with yells of 'BINGO' still echoing in the grand ballroom!  We thank all members who came out to enjoy the evening together.

The Headland Country Club conducted its annual Labor Day tournament on Monday, September 6th with 23 players participating.  We appreciate the support of our members for this tournament as turnout was a bit low due to the extreme heat and there were four particpants that could not finish due to the heat.  It's been a long hot summer and everyone is looking forward to the cool days of fall!

Matt Sullivan was the low medalist for this 27 hole tournament with a score of 110 followed by Allen Cole with a 113 and Jamie Correa with 114 in the Championship Flight. K.V. Douglas won the First Flight with a score of 113 followed by Randy Sanders with 114 and Greg Hutcheson with 116.  Ashley cole won the Second Flight with a score of 120 followed by Jerry Hardy with 122 and Fred Arnold with 123.

The Headland Country Club held it's annual 3 Man Scramble on August 21st & 22nd.  We had a terrific turnout with a full field even with the hot weather! Due to rain and lightning, the afternoon matches were called after 9 holes.  The HCC Tournament Committee, Board of Directors and Membership wish to thank everyone that participated in this tournament.

Ken and Elaine Bond were presented Certificates of Appreciation at a dinner in their honor by the HCC Board of Directors for the years of service they provided to the Headland Country Club. We are a better club because of the efforts that they made over difficult years and we will miss seeing them every day. Also pictured are the new club managers, Brenda and K.V. Douglas.
