The Headland High School Golf Team has been invited to participate in the 21st Annual Blue-Gray High School Invitational Golf Tournament which is an AHSAA sanctioned event sponsored by Saint James School in Montgomery. The event will be held on February 25th-26th. The first round wil be start at 10:00am on February 25th at Wynlakes Golf & Country Club located at 7900 Wynlakes Blvd, Montgomery, AL. The second round will be start at 8:00am on February 26th at Lagoon Park Golf Course located at 2855 Lagoon Park Drive, Montgomery, AL. We invite everyone to support our HHS Golf Team and enjoy two days of great golf!
Headland Country Club will hold a tournament and raffle on November 17th. Details are below and we urge you to participate in both. The monies we draw from these events will go to our land taxes and equipment repair. I have been to a reverse raffle and it is fun to watch and play.
Don McGriff, Tyler Brackin and Mike Smith shot a consistent 57-57=114 to win the 2012 HCC 3 Man Scramble on Saturday and Sunday, August 18-19 at the Headland Country Club. Hunter Herring, Will Parker and Micah Holley came in 2nd place with a 56-60=116 score followed by 3rd place team Jeff Lane, Pistol Willis and Chris Ingram who shot 58-60=118.Charles Money, Mills Money and Matthew Money was the Championship B flight with a score of 62-62=124 just edging out 2nd place team Jeff Andrews, Jason Harris and Joey Burgoon who shot 62-63=125 and 3rd place team Todd Weeks, Walter Gay and Greg Hutchenson who show 64-63=127.
In the First Flight, the team of Jarred Garrity, Duane Golden and Mike Wilborn won the flight with Denny Steele, Fred Arnold and Mike McLancy taking 2nd place by regression over 3rd place team Tim Hill, David Reeves and Patrick Reeves as both teams shot 66-62=128.
In the Championship B Flight, Dan Presswood won the flight with a 68-66=134 edging Charles Money who shot 67-68=135 to take 2nd place. John Phipps shot 67-69=136 to finish in 3rd place.
In the First Flight, Denny Steele outpaced the field with a 69-63=132 total to take 1st place followed by 2nd place finisher Scott Lowe who shot 71-78=139. Walter Gay took 3rd place with a 70-72=142 total.
John Eiland shot a -5 under par 139 to edged B. J. Tucker, who shot -4 under 140, and win the 2012 HCC Invitational Golf Tournament held on June 2nd-3rd at the Headland Country Club in Headland, Alabama. Craig Burrows captured 3rd place in the Championship A Flight with a score of 145 and Jason Barber finished 4th with a score of 147.
